  • We have just received the complimentary copies of your Special Kids magazine. I would like to congratulate you on this brilliant idea. The magazine is excellent for parents written from a parents perspective. Thank you for the positive articles about Conductive Education too.

  • Hi there. I have just finished reading your first magazine and am grateful someone has finally done it!! I received it through the early childhood centre I work at. I thought it would be nice for the six families who have just started up our branch of Riding for the Disabled to receive a copy also. Some of them have seen my copy and would like to subscribe as I have.

  • Just informing you the mags arrived, thank-you. All I have to say is it is about time a mag like that was brought out. We found the info in there useful as many others would. Great Job!

  • What a fantastic magazine for parents and carers of special needs kids. I think I might be too crazy busy to offer a piece for each issue, but let me know how you want to do an initial article.
  • I have read and enjoyed the May issue of Special Kids. Thank you for such an informative and lively magazine.
I work for the … District Health board for the intellectual disability community team. I work with children and adults with intellectual disabilities and challenging behavior. I am presenting a paper on bioethics which examines the intrinsic value of children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This looks at how we as a society need to value people with disabilities. As part of my presentation I am wondering whether I could quote from the May issue of Special Kids, and even reproduce some of the pictures.

  • Hi there. I am a student nurse and have just found your March issue of Special Kids and I would like to say how fabulous it is that you have put this magazine out there for parents. I had a premature baby thirty years ago who was born with cerebral palsy and there was no such help for me in the community at that time and I sure could have used some. Keep up the good work.

  • Hello editor. What a wonderful idea to have your own magazine. I applaud your efforts. I skimmed through it in the osteopathic clinic.

  • I have been given a copy of your magazine. I think it’s going to be great!! I have a child with cerebral palsy, and find it very helpful reading articles related to him. It’s also interesting to read what other challenges parents face (although sad). I am a member of a support group for parents of children with physical, mental and health problems. We are a small area, so our group includes different needs.... P.W.
A big thank-you for the prize you sent me … it was a most welcome surprise. The early intervention Playgroup paid for the Special Kids subscription, so I shall give them the prize. It’s a playgroup here for families with pre-schoolers with special needs, and provides a supportive environment for families to get together … it’s a great magazine.

  • Hi, Congrats again on the latest magazine. It really is excellent. We were particularly pleased as we were looking for music therapy to have here in the Centre next year and didn’t have a contact up until that point. Well done!

  • Thank you for the copies of the mag. Lovely section of information on deaf education plus the other articles of course. May I buy three more copies. I gave one to a parent who can’t afford your sub. I will wave them around other parents and tell them to subscribe if they want a copy. That will lure them. Do a cochlea implant story next. We have two two year olds who are making amazing progress through “listening”.
